picture of The Kings HeadDespite being a grand, imposing pub with a good choice of beers and a friendly welcome, The King's Head isn't somewhere we can wholeheartedly recommend. On our Saturday afternoon visit the clientele was exclusively male and over 50 (excluding ourselves). Sports pages were very much in evidence and plenty of nattering was going on. A few unsteady feet were already noticeable by 4pm. It was all very reminiscent of an old-fashioned Working Mans Club. Still, you can sit by the window pretty much undisturbed and watch life in Acton pass you by. But then, why would you do that here when there are so many better places to be?
