The first impression of this pub is of a pub on a council estate, i.e. modern building, old name, slightly shabby. Once you get it, it's more confused than that: part wine bar, part comfy sofa bar, part sports bar, part cafe. The patrons don't seem to care much, or at least they didn't the night we were in and the footy was on. There is beer (well, London Pride and some lager), as well as a wine list; the food seemed popular with the regulars and wasn't particularly expensive. It also has table service, which can be confusing the first time you go in, but one soon gets used to it. Still, despite the confusion, it's not a bad place, and far enough from Victoria to discourage most casual visitors - though saying that, a large family of tourists apparated into the bar at some point, and the children weren't shooed out, take that as you will. If you're in the area, it's not a bad place to meet, and still quiet enough to have a conversation. One eccentricity to report: there's a large case full of trophies purportedly won by the Westminster and Pimlico golf society. Quite impressive.
