With Big Fat Sofa and its silly name now long gone, its replacement, The Noble, has now had time to settle in and find it's feet. Hangovers from its predecessor still remain: the wallpaper is still reminiscent of that 70's bathroom tiling people tore out in the 80's and the layout is roughly the same. There's a pricey, but potentially interesting menu with tapas- style food offered, along with a more complete menu. It is however somewhat hyperbolic and adjective-heavy - do we really need to be told something is 'wok-tossed'? We're only offering a two pint rating at the moment, though - it still feels like it should be more comfy than it is and it can be pretty quiet at times, too. Notwithstanding this, the people behind the bar were the epitome of friendly and The Noble is a perfectly suitable addition to Stroud Green.
