picture of Ordnance ArmsThis pub bills itself as an original East End experience'. Well, if that's true, there are better ones to be found. This pub isn't exactly terrible, but it does ooze decay, disrespect and dereliction. It's a big old boozer, patriotic with its abundance of England flags and, moreover, seeming to long for the return of the Empire. (Travellers, meanwhile, are welcome, or not, "by appointment only". We recommend trying to give them a ring on the phone number above for bookings.) They have a regular pub spate of aggression known as Killer Pool' (we suppose you might just strike it lucky, and, after all, there's nothing worse than shooting a few rounds with someone who's really not up to it, is there?), weekly karaoke evenings and a 2 million track' MP3 jukebox. A mixture of locals and the odd, enthusiastically slobbering, dog attend. Original East Ender or not, you'll probably do better elsewhere.
