how to find it:

Leave Greenwich Station and cross Greenwich High Road and head to the traffic lights at the junction with Greenwich South Street. (It should be just ahead of you if you came out of the main exit, otherwise, turn left and walk 100m or so until you get to the junction). Turn right up Greenwich South Street and walk up the hill a short while until you come to the junction with Blisset Street (3rd left). You should see the pub on your left, next to the (large) fire station.

picture of The Royal GeorgeAn excellent little local, next to one of the biggest fire stations we've seen. The colleagues of Captain Flack, Barney McGrew, Dibble et al were not in evidence when we visited, but what we did get, was a warm and friendly welcome. It's a Shepherd Neame pub so fine pints of Master Brew and Spitfire were available. Attractive stained glass windows at the front, ship models and tankards give the pub's interior character too. Recommended.
