This pub is every bit the standard City establishment but 90 per cent of its customers will spend no longer inside than the time it takes to queue at the bar. The Crispin is blessed by its location in the corner of the spacious square at Finsbury Avenue, allowing a mass of thirsty office workers to spread out on a summer's day. Often more than a hundred will try their best to create a human road block. Inside it is smoky and requires a refit, though serves a decent pint and has a friendly atmosphere. The impression on our visits is that there are plenty of regulars. Just inside the door there is a large screen for football, but don't try to watch it while walking out unless you want to trip over the step. A separate function room is available downstairs to hire.
