Another popular establishment in the pub-heavy Shepherd Market. Nowadays, this is one of the better ones - a recent refurbishment has improved the menu and brought the pub up to date. There's decent beer on the hand pumps, but the other beers and wines are pretty standard - especially now there are plenty of interesting Continental beers, (particularly Belgian) more generally available. Like most of the other pubs in the locality, on summer evenings it often gets crowded with people spilling outside, as non-smokers join the smokers to catch the last rays of sun. It's probably one for a quick pint rather than a long evening's session, but with the steady demise of the pub just up the way it's probably the best one in the market to meet up in.
