picture of Prince of WalesPubs directly opposite mainline train stations often fill pub goers with a slight sense of dread, but the stately exterior of the Prince of Wales is rather a charmer, and we're glad to report the pub itself isn't all that bad either. Whilst suffering from a slight air of transience - a given with Wimbledon station across the road - this T & J Bernard pub plays a steady hand. There's a decent array of beers - which we've come to expect from this chain - but also a Victoriana interior (Gin Palace-lite, if you will), which may not necessarily have the place listed, but does lend a slightly refined air to proceedings. As we say, you might not find it the place to linger long in, but there's a decent enough pub lurking away beneath the surface. For starters, how about getting the clock on the exterior working again?
