picture of CundysCundy's (he was apparently a former landlord here) is a high-ceilinged, big Victorian boozer built in the era of local dock prosperity. Nowadays, things aren't so good. Various football shirts on the walls and a big screen TV nail the pub's colours to the mast. There's little interest on the drink front either, with no real ales available. Apparently, there is live music at weekends and we've heard of strippers performing here too, if you're up for that. The atmosphere amongst the particularly foul-mouthed locals was pretty depressing so you're unlikely to linger here. A Willie Nelson classic heard on the jukebox encapsulates it all: "gee, it's funny... how time slips away".
