picture of White BearA theatre pub it may be, but catch it out of performance hours and you're in an old style Kennington boozer. Big screens at the front and back battle away (Horse Racing vs VH1 when we last looked in: Kylie the winner by a mile) whilst Guinness is poured and cheap food dispensed. An artier crowd arrives by showtime but there's never much grief with the locals. It may seem an uneasy mix but it somehow works. You're never short of an atmosphere, that's for sure.
