how to find it:

Exit Mortlake BR station and turn left down Sheen Lane. You should be able to see the pub across the road from the park, next to the brewery.

picture of Jolly GardenersAnother old school boozer, this one offers up something different to the bar across the road and the remade Railway Tavern over the park. A pool table in the back room and a big screen in the main bar catch the eye, though this is the sort of pub that probably doesn't entice too many new punters across its threshold, with most people walking past it and on to the riverside for The Ship. It's a locals pub for sure, with a clientele that was surely having a jolly time here when the brewery next door was still Watney's (certainly the furnishings of the pub hark back to the 1970s).
