A simple premise: change one letter of your name and become an entirely new pub. Once a member of the 'Tup' chain, they've given the place a lick of paint and put up some stick-on Tap motifs on the windows. Nevertheless, the place isn't all that bad. It's a large, stripped out affair, but seems less pretentious than some other local 'drinkeries'. The service is great; even if it was probably because they were quiet, giving the option of table service for drinks is always encouraging. They even serve pretty good food 'till 10.30, too - if only they'd considered that installing an open kitchen should be more than knocking down a partition wall. Alas, it looked rather incongruous - akin to a greasy spoon café's kitchen. But this is certainly one to consider and it's location off the main drag also means it's doesn't get as busy as other Islington pubs (although that may change on the regular comedy nights they host).
