sorry no picture of this pubConfession time. Dino's underage daughter used to frequent the Rose and Crown when she wanted a 'quiet pint' with her friends. Unfortunately so did her headmistress. But it sums up a place which serves a mixed community from council estates to near million pound (pushing it a bit aren't you mate?) private homes. A big, probably 1930's open plan bar where sensible use of beams and partitions allows different atmospheres for different punters and the odd little alcove where schoolgirls no longer lurk. One of the best value and quality Sunday roasts around, a good and varying range of beers, and a friendly atmosphere make for a great local boozer and a pleasant venue if you are passing - although nothing special enough to make it worth a major detour.
