If the closest tube to this one was Oxford Circus rather than Lambeth North, we'd probably be rather less enamoured of it. Being located on a dour stretch of Westminster Bridge Road actually works in this one's favour, resulting as it does in a clientele made up of local office staff and a few in-the-know Waterloo commuters. It goes to show that with a decent range of drink and a dependable selection of food the stripped out bar look still has something to offer. It's not really one for the beer drinker though the excellent range of whiskies, rums and bourbons offer a pleasing change (the one downside being that with so many different spirit bottles on show you may end up having to give the bar staff directions to the location of your chosen tipple). Popular at lunch and post-work hours, it proves that bars needn't follow the latest trends in furnishing and cocktails to gain a regular and loyal clientele.
