This 50s60s estate pub is reminiscent of a seaside hotel, there's an odd mix of styles used in the déor, covering most of the decades since the place was built and old geezers' music was providing the aural decoration. Maybe the tempo livens up later in the day, but we suspect not. The place looks very well looked after, something you don't usually get after a rowdy weekend. The are no hand pumps, strictly keg only here (and probably a good few bottles), so those in search of real ale will be disappointed, but it's a pub on an estate and they're the people it caters for, they seemed very content with the offer and you can't knock that.
