picture of The CopperfieldA big old boozer just off the busy South Circular, the Copperfield has probably seen better days. It's all a bit run-down really: tatty furnishings and faded England flags - you get the picture. Being a John Barras pub, the food and drink is reasonable. When we dropped in at 11.30am, the locals had already set themselves for the day. The Copperfield is the easiest place to meet up in Catford but, beyond that, it's pretty mediocre. Now the Catford dog track has shut, this place probably needs all the trade it can get.
