picture of The Lord PalmerstonA locals' boozer of the old school, Lord Palmerston pleasantly surprised us when we dropped in. A range of books on sale for 25p each (one first edition William Boyd, one Evelyn Waugh trilogy - cheers), and some decent soul tunes help the atmosphere. Cheap sandwiches are on offer if you're peckish, and the general vibe was pretty relaxed too.
