This small pub on the northeast corner of Highbury roundabout looks a fairly unremarkable pub which serves moderately good beer in pleasing enough surroundings. However, it does however open later than many nearby places and has a great comedy theatre upstairs, which has witnessed the birth of many a famous comedian's career. The seating has been marginally improved from our last visit, but is predominantly high level, in no small part to accommodate the pre and post theatre crowds. As such, the place feels a little transitory, but at least attempts to gain repeat custom with an eclectic jukebox and frequent live music acts in the main bar. There are certainly far worse places to visit this close to Highbury and Islington tube, but it's probably only worth a major detour if you're coming to see some comedy, or it's after 11.00pm and you're thirsty for a couple more...
