The Auberge bills itself as a restaurant, selling French style food (except it appears to be Belgian - moules frites anyone?), but we've been in here plenty of times and just (got) drunk. It sells Belgian beers and some are delivered in pints, therefore enabling its inclusion in our esteemed guide. It's not a bad place at all, being artfully installed in the railway arches more or less under Waterloo East Station the upstairs is the restaurant part and downstairs is more of a bar/bistro affair. It must be said that prices are on the hefty side - even for central London, but the service is usually fast, polite and friendly. If you're looking for a more cost-effective and authentic Belgian experience, without the need to avail yourself of the nearby Eurostar services, there are a number of alternatives not too far away.
