picture of Bull TavernSituated close to Woolwich Arsenal station, and opposite a busy bus stop, the Bull doesn't look too welcoming from outside. Inside, it's not so bad. Friendly staff, a vaguely Irish theme and a few relaxed locals gave the place a decent vibe. At busier times, you can imagine things getting livelier but it's usually pretty quiet. An unusual colour scheme of bold blue, red and beige gives the interior the look of a French Revolutionary uniform, though there's little radicalism on the beer front (can you see Jean-Paul Marat drinking Toby Bitter?). The Bull is a reasonable place to meet near Woolwich Arsenal station, but that's really as far as we can recommend it.
