Leave Archway tube and walk down Holloway road for a while, Landseer Road is ninth on your left.

picture of The LandseerThis pub stands out in its area, Holloway not being renowned for gastropubs. The Landseer is large and spacious, with understated décor and lots of natural light. There are some large tables for sociable groups, sofas in corners, and a generally relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You can eat anywhere in the pub, but there is a 'restaurant' type section off on one side, so the other area is pretty much meant for drinkingsnacking. The beer is good, though the selection limited. There is a long and apparently good wine list too though. We didn't try the food, but it looked like standard, decent gastropub stuff. A pleasant place to while away a few hours. Good pub cat, too.
