picture of HobgoblinThis place seems to do things on a big scale. There's a sizeable beer garden at the back for summer weather, which draws locals and students for sunshine and four-pint jugs of lager. The service is excellent and honest too: when we pondered getting food, the barman told us it could be ages in coming. Hobgoblin, Bombardier and IPA are on tap and there's a 20 percent student discount on offer. In a pretty mixed area for drinking, this place seems to keep everyone happy.
