how to find it:
Exit Green Park on the north side of Piccadilly. Walk along Piccadilly (passing the Ritz on the opposite side of the road) and keep going before turning left up Old Bond Street. Take your first right along Burlington Gardens, then your second left up Old Burlington Street.

This one was due a refit: it was one of those sub-O'Neill's places that popped up in the 1990s, aping the Oirish furnishings and stylings of the O'N brand. The pub was slowly ageing into the slightly down-at-heel look it was aiming for in the first place. All change now. Along with the name change there's a different colour scheme both inside and out and no sign of the old poteen jars on the shelves. It all adds up to something a a lot more classier than the old pub (particularly in the upstairs lunchtime dining room) and just out of the way enough for it to be visited by only those who live/work in the area.
