how to find it:
From Walthamstow Central: try to take the right-hand exit from the station and head up the ramp. Cross Selborne Road at the lights, past The Goose, turning left into Hoe Street and carry on up the road. The pub is about 5 minutes walk, on the right side of the road.

A popular local with a singular style of interior décor, that is ignored by the clientele to a man (and woman) who are busy getting on with the business that is pub life in 21st century UK suburbia. It offers a couple of decent beers,plus an unsurprising mix of wines, spirits, shots and Breezers. And coupled with screens all over the pub for the sport (although the projection screen has been removed) and a brace of pool tables, this pub is well set up to meet the demands of the local community and consequently does very well. (In case you're wondering, the place is decorated with suits of armour, fake weapons, farming implements and lights that look like they came from a pirate ship all packed into a Victorian building.)
