how to find it:
From the Greenwich station, turn left and cross the High Road. Turn right into Royal Hill and walk up the hill; the pub is a few minutes up on the right. From Cutty Sark station, cross the road and walk up the hill towards the market and cinema (directly away from the Cutty Sark). Follow the road round past the Ibis hotel and the cinema (both on your left) and take the next left up the hill. Go up the hill and just after the road turns right you'll find the pub on your right.

The Prince Albert's walls are covered in nautical pictures and ephemera, yet you won't find too many tourists or museum-goers here; the pub has a down-to-earth feel that we like for its honesty and hospitality. The big-screen TV is handy for sports events and there always seems to be a good atmosphere. When other Royal Hill pubs are crowded, we often end up here, drinking with the friendly, older local crowd.
