picture of The Archway TavernThe first thing that hits you has you come out of Archway Tube station (apart from the monolithic Archway Tower) is the roundabout with the huge Archway Tavern stuck in the middle of it. However, once inside, we noticed what can only be described as an anti-tardis effect. For despite its large footprint, what we discovered inside seemed to be a rather small pub for sports fans. Six screens, showing two football and one rugby match seemed to be keeping people entertained; after all, there was certainly no fear of not having a good view. But despite this and friendly service we felt that, overall, it's a rather unremarkable - even drab - pub. Once we left, the reason for the lack of space inside became apparent; the back half of the pub is a music venue and night club, for which the latter promised everything from 'Ibiza Dance Anthems' and chart music to R&B and indie.
