Turn right from the tube and walk down to the crossroads. Go straight over and walk along the Heathway before turning left into Broad Street. The pub is five minutes away, on the left corner with Morland Road.

picture of Admiral VernonA big old pub with a decent atmosphere on our visit, the Admiral Vernon scores a point for having Adnams Broadside on tap; generally, the Dag (Dagenham to you Sir) doesn't offer much on the real ale front. The several TVs showing sport dominate the boozer and the standard of pool was pretty impressive. There is nothing here to set the pub world alight but this is better and friendlier than many others nearby.
