picture of Watermans ArmsDespite the relentless move upmarket as the City spreads eastwards, there are still a few old boozers left in these parts and the Waterman's Arms is one of the best of them. Solid in all departments, its a popular one with both locals and any visitors who've stumbled across it whilst looking for that famous view of Greenwich. It's a rangy old place, made famous by a previous Landlord - Dan Farson and whilst there's a fair size restaurant section at the side don't expect gastro fayre. Oh, they use an old style "London Fives" dartboard (just in case you've got your arrows handy). Well kept beers, Irish malts and a pool table are some of the other features. Add on the mandatory "solid gold 60s" compilation airing from the CD player and a huge beer garden and you have a steady three pinter.
