picture of The GoldhawkMaking a deliberate attempt to appeal to a clientele different from all the Irish boozers round these parts, is this loungey pub. All squishy furnishings and laid-back sounds, it's hardly one to make a beeline for if you want a big party, but it does serve a need in this neck of the woods if you need a drink but don't fancy watching the Racing from Fairyhouse. With decent ales on the hand pumps, Continental beers on tap, a fair wine list, cocktails, modern pub food (and Sunday roast) and arguably the cleanest pub toilets on the Goldhawk Road, this pub's a pleasant place to while away an afternoon.
