how to find it:
At Parson's Green tube, take the right-hand exit, then turn left. Keep walking up Parson's Green Lane, cross Fulham Road and keep going straight on up Homestead Road. Go right to the top - you'll emerge in Dawes Road, not far from the pub. It should take 10 or 15 minutes. From Fulham Broadway tube, the quickest way is to take a short ride on a 295 or 211 bus to Dawes Road.

Your take on this pub will depend entirely on your take on Fulham - the pub encapsulates the area and if you like that as a concept, you'll like it here. Like a lot of things in SW6, it's difficult to find, but unlike a lot of Fulham, the area looks a little grotty around here and at, first glance, so does the pub. However, inside it's a completely different story with pleasing hardwood boarding up to the dado rail and the rest of the pub decorated in clean, modern, designery colours and none of the grubby mix-and-match secondhand furniture we've become used to. It's all quite tasteful perhaps even a little avant-garde. To complement the décor the menu is also somewhat outré with the likes of quails eggs and pumpkin risotto as bar snacks. Which makes the drinks side of things rather underwhelming - nothing remarkable in the beer department and a pretty typical range of wines, spirits and cocktails. The clientele rounds off the Fulham microcosm and if you're at all familiar with the area you'll know what to expect. Okay?
