how to find it:
Arlington Square is beside Regents Canal, just off New North Road. To get there from Angel tube is a sometimes tortuous walk through the byways and estates of Islington. Look at the A-Z, it's easiest.

One would expect the Social, one of the two London pubs owned by über-trendy record label Heavenly, to be slap in the middle of Upper Street, within easy reach of the tube, advertising agencies and shops selling dark-rimmed glasses and those jeans with big turn-ups. However, the Social is tucked away in a slightly obscure corner of Islington, and we had some problems finding it. Worth the visit ? Well, it's a decent enough place if you're in the mood - a hip, mainly early 20-something crowd, Japanese lagers, a good selection of food and an attractive interior. It's not all severe metal surfaces and bar stools here, but a more gentle wooden affair. Maybe not one for the real ale drinker in your party and really most people it seems where there to eat - especially earlier in the week. Of course there was the obligatory jukebox with a fair selection of good tunes. Other attractions include DJs and a monthly pub quiz. While we can't say much about the former, we can say the latter is worth a go - surprisingly the questions weren't all about obscure hip-hop white labels.
