picture of Hardys FreehouseHardys is a spacious pub which draws a mix of locals, local workers and students. It has a large, comfortably upholstered lounge are, adorned by colour glass windows. Ruddles was the only ale available on our visit among the usual drinks choice. A side bar, the Green Leaf, offers reasonably priced lunches and snacks, and there's a beer garden through the back. Hardys is a solid, if unspectacular, pub overall.
