The Sutton Arms is a refreshingly old-fashioned sort of pub. The sort of place where people meet to chat over a pint of decent (Cask Marque) beer, or watch the sport on the telly with your mates etc. You know, the sort of thing people used to do in pubs before they turned gastro. There's food here too - sarnies, cottage pie, burgers etc - mainly for the lunch time crowd, but in any case food is not the be all and end all of this place. The service is polite, fast and very friendly and the atmosphere is cordial and relaxed. The Sutton Arms is a revitalising antidote to the unremitting (and often unnecessary) remodelling of pubs and bars in these parts. You'd be advised to get here before the it catches the eyes of the developers.
