A nice locals' pub situated in Charlton Village. Maybe not one to go out of your way for, but definitely worth a visit if you live in the area. The White Swan has a slightly timeless feel to it and although not particularly special, a not unattractive interior. The outside of the pub, rather perversely, is bright red and stands out in the otherwise slightly drab Charlton Village. The saloon bar boasts a pool table and the public bar a gaggle of slightly resigned looking locals and a rather more eclectic jukebox than you might expect in a local boozer. There's also a small beer garden if you fancy venturing outside. The beers, Greene King IPA and Abbot Ale, were well kept, and the staff very friendly. There's the obligatory display of Charlton Athletic paraphernalia within, but it's not too in your face. Overall, a staunchly local pub for local people, but all the same a very welcoming one and they serve a good pint.
