picture of The CommercialWhat was a rather standard and depressing South London railway pub has been given a full Mitchells & Butlers 'M&B' relaunch. The soft furnishings and wide range of continental beers of the M & B pubs have become familiar across London in recent times and this one is another impressive addition to their roster. The excellent in-house music choices on our visit only added to our favourable impression. Very much in keeping with the gradual gentrification of Herne Hill, this one mixes some of the ingredients of the Escape Bar next door but comes up with a far more palatable concoction.
