picture of Queens HeadEver been in a Young's pub and wondered where that photo of the Queen Mum pulling a pint comes from? Well, it was here that Her Maj looked the East End in the face (well, midriff) from behind the bar. Have to say, the old dear chose a pretty decent pub for the shoot. Situated in a well-preserved square it's a traditional two-bar affair, with a space for darts at the back and a food counter at the front. Can be quiet, and so a decent one for watching the world go by and sorting the wheat from the chaff on the jukebox (naturally, it fills up when the sport is on). And even if our pints weren't pulled by a Windsor, they were up to the usual Young's standards.
