picture of The CamelFirst impressions weren't good. With no fewer than six TVs showing an obscure game of Cricket, which no-one appeared to be interested in, we weren't overly impressed. The bland pinery of the place - much more so than the other Camel branches - really didn't help either. That said, the service was excellent and we thought the complimentary (if clichéd) olive oil, balsamic vinegar and bread to accompany our (very good) food was a nice touch. A happy hour which lasted until 8pm also helped raise our estimations of this place, as did the table service. We left feeling rather content and that is surely one sign of a good pub.
