picture of Cheshire CheeseThis large, two-storey pub is located underneath Fenchurch Street station and within spitting distance of the Tower (with a following wind). Like a lot of City pubs, it can be quite empty outside of lunch and immediate post-work hours. An older pub, it has an upstairs game room; a quite reasonable pint of Bass, friendly staff, satellite sports TV, music. It's a bit plain, but it's not a bad pub if you're in the area.
