how to find it:

Highbury and Islington Station: exit and turn right down Highbury Station Road. Keep going until you hit Liverpool Road. Turn left and keep walking down Liverpool Road. You'll eventually see the pub on your right. From Angel: exit, cross the road, and turn left up Liverpool Road. Keep going and you'll come across the pub on your left.

picture of The BarnsburyJust the the sort of sleek gastropub you'd expect in these parts. It covers all the gastro bases - modern art on the wall, butchers block tables and a concentration on food over drink. Given it's on Liverpool Road it has a slightly more secluded location than the bars and pubs of Upper Street, though it still pulls in the punters at peak times. You'd probably be becoming here for a meal rather than a drink and even though we had a pleasant time here, if you're thirsty there's better to be had nearby.
