Completing the hat trick of pubs on Kew Green, the Greyhound happily holds up well against its two larger competitors. The least imposing of the trio, there's a good mock Tudor exterior and the interior is stripped out, but in an understated kind of way - this is Kew, after all. Being the most trendy pub on Kew Green seems to mean less middle-class families and more hip younger Kew residents, even if this doesn't necessarily mean less children on weekends. To match the clientele, the staff are young and although efficient, one or two have slightly cocky attitudes, possibly more suited to an Estate Agency. On balance, its certainly worth popping in on a sunny day to appreciate the nice back garden or sit out on the green over the road, but sadly the Greyhound doesn't quite get the juices flowing for us.
