how to find it:

From Kensington Olympia: Go out of the station and head past the entrances to Olympia until you get to the main road. Turn right and head down Hammersmith Road. The pub's beyond the end of Olympia and across the road on the left hand side. From Baron's Court: Cross over the main road and head up Gliddon Road until it becomes Edith Road. At the end of Edith Road, turn right and the pub's ahead on the next corner.

picture of The AlbionQuite a reasonable pub, just that little bit further away from Olympia - which means it's less likely to be swamped by convention-goers. Decent beer, with Theakston's Best and Bombardier supplementing Courage Best. We're quite intrigued by the "Pie of the Day" - we can't imagine how many varieties of pie they can squeeze into the average week, but it's not putting us off. It's decent enough, with football on the telly and a dartboard smack-bang in the middle of the pub, but one can always escape upstairs when it's busier (assuming it's not been reserved, of course). Friendly enough and perfect for that quiet afternoon drink away from the office.
