From Wandsworth Town BR follow Old York Road until it becomes Armoury Way, then Armoury Way until turning right along Putney Bridge Road. Keep walking, pass The Wheatsheaf pub, and The Hop Pole will be on your right.

The pub itself can look a bit intimidating from the outside, but once inside you'll find it's a small place with a fairly snug feel. Standard pub grub, a dartboard and outdoor seating complete the picture. Don't be fooled by the signed photos of the snooker stars on the walls - there's no pool table.
