how to find it:

Nearest train station is East Dulwich. From there turn right down Grove Vale and keep walking when the road becomes Lordship Lane. The pub is a good 15 minutes walk.

picture of The MagdalaBefore it shut down, this one was an old fashioned boozer teetering on the brink of full-on scuzzdom. Open for business again and just like the other pubs on Lordship Lane this one's been touched up and revamped. At least it hasn't been totally transformed into a foodie haunt: wood fired pizzas may be the order of the day but there's still a home for the Sky Sports big screen and a decent pint. (New picture to come).
