There are plenty of pubs being remodelled as clubs across the capital, but this one manages to balance drinking and dancing (and dining) pretty well. A large Victorian pub, its darkened interior includes a fairly priced Thai dining area at the front, a simple loungey bar space in the middle and a largish dance floor (hidden behind black curtains) at the back. The open fireplace adds a glow to proceedings on cold winter nights. Whilst we just stayed for a drink, exiting before the Club night kicked off, the clubby clientele appeared a happy-go-lucky bunch. Our man on the dance floor informs us the music choice is wide-ranging - we'll take his word for it. What we can say for certain is that whilst maybe not a destination for a quiet night out, The Telegraph suggests that the pub club mix can work, and with a minimum of pretension. We felt it was between a 2 and a 3 pinter but we'll give it the benefit of the doubt in this case.
