picture of Balham Tup If you've ever been to a Tup pub then you know what to expect here. If you haven't, then imagine an All Bar One with a few more beer pumps. Cue all the standard 90's pub furnishings (stripped pine, sofas etc) and a rather pricey pint. There's a big screen for sports, occasional live music and a Sunday night quiz. Unlike a lot of pubs in the Tup chain food is also served. It adds up to something that's proving popular with Balham's growing crowd of young professionals. For us though the place feels too formula driven, not a pub you can really warm to. Good for what it is, but if you're looking for something with a bit more character there are better to be had nearby.
