how to find it:

From Clapham Common: head out of the tube at the Pavement exit and turn right immediately out of the tube. Turn right at the next corner into Long Road and along the Common until you get to Cedars Road. Turn right into Cedars Road and carry on until you reach the junction with Lavender Hill and Wandsworth Road. Turn left and the bar is across the road. The 345 bus also goes there, but you need to get off when you can see the junction ahead - it goes quite a distance before it stops again.

picture of Microbar Even though this place serves mostly bottled beer, it's still pretty good, as these are not your run-of-the-mill designer lagers. The name of the place is really about microbrews and beers not churned out for their mass-market appeal. Belgian Trappists alongside English microbrews; German fruit beers next to American Anchor Steam and wheat beer (on tap no less). More bar than pub, it is still quite relaxed and the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about their beer. It's not a cheap place to drink, but their ethos is that you drink better, not more and we can't say we disagree.
