picture of The William MorrisNot at all the rustic pub conjured up by its name, this is an old Wetherspoon pub that's been re-branded as one of their Lloyds No.1 Bars. Seems this has been achieved by the creative masterstroke of dimming the lights. Usual Wetherspoon formula applied within, though like a growing number of their pubs they've started to show live football. So much for the old Wetherspoon unique selling point of no TVs and no music. There can a bit more life to this one than your regular Wetherspoon: often a bit too much. If you like your pubs with an underlying tension and a brutish air, give it a look of a weekend. Otherwise try elsewhere.
