Unless you're of the Chelsea persuasion, you'll probably stay clear of this one when there's a game on at Stamford Bridge. At any other time though, it's worth a look if you like your pubs cut from the same traditional cloth as Knightsbridge's Nag's Head or Barons Court's Colton Arms. Like those two, the Fox & Pheasant is a small affair, managing to fit in a dartboard and a TV screen into its classic low-ceilinged pub interior. There're some seats out the back and there's a small lunchtime menu (weekdays only) to nosh whilst you sample their Greene King ales. An untouched gem in an area where most of the pubs chase after the latest trends, it's the sort of old boozer where it's no great surprise to find a signed Britt Ekland picture behind the bar.
