picture of The Dublin CastleAs other pubs move on, smarten up and strip down, the Dublin Castle remains. A hangover from the music scene of the 80's and 90s, this boozer attracts indie kids, rockers and tourists who come to convince themselves Camden isn't a shell of its former 'alternative' self. A definite weekend pub, the small back room has been a music venue for many a year and great shakes are made that Madness, among others, began their career here. We hasten to add that it also holds itself up as a good pub, too. Although not one for a quiet night, this is a busy, raucous place and is a must for anyone after an antidote to predictable gastropubs or the All Bar One type scene.
