This is a very normal boozer for this area - not themed, not stripped out, not run down and, as a result, it can feel slightly out of place here in Camden. A decent pub, the premises are well looked after and up to Young's usual high standards - as are also the food and the drink - and a recent refit has smartened things up a tad (though the changes aren't too wholesale). Tellies keep you up to date with the sport and there're some comfy looking corners to hide away in or some outdoor seating for when the sun comes out. Possibly the most un-Camden of all the pubs in NW1, the Spread Eagle is a safe bet for a couple of drinks.
